So, I want to start this topic mainly to inform others (experienced and noobs) on what we all would like to share in regards to our exp with coding the scm.

To start off, I know some already know how to do it, but I have just recently learned how to change coil colors on the DMC 12's. Still working on DMC 13.

I would like to know how to change car colors and where in the scm if anyone would like to help.

EDIT: I started this topic basically to be like a coding tutorial section, but wasn't sure where else to post. I also haven't posted any coding stuff because what I have done is not my work, but the work of others, mainly ed and I don't want to be accused of stealing someone else's work.

the dmc 13 colours are changed by the:

$04R
$04G
$04B

on the big list at the top

and the car colur is not in the scm, its a texture

@Johny: If you want to, that's the idea.

I've discovered how to change traffic density and how to change how often and when certain era cars appear. Example:

Find:
Code:
01EB: set_traffic_density_multiplier_to 1.0
you can change the "1.0" to any number, I changed to 0.5, lol

Also find:
Code:
0028:  $CYEAR >=
The year after equals sign is when cars will appear and lines under are what era and their spawn rate, 0 to 101.

Keep in mind its the
Code:
0004: $1955CAR = 0
0004: $1985CAR = 101
0004: $2015CAR = 101
0004: $ALLCAR = 101

Thanks Ed. I'll keep finding things to alter and edit. I'll keep working on my Test VC scm too and keep you posted.

EDIT: Found out that my above post may be wrong or at least inaccurate. After much testing, I turned all traffic densities to zero and put all spawn code to zero, I discovered that VC's traffic is controlled by quite possibly other lines, or it has a minimum traffic level hard coded in the exe. Will keep updated.

So now I'm working on creating markers (the pink round things you walk into). So far this is all I have:

the mission starts fine but when it spawn the car I want and the actor I want, the MISSION PASSED text just on the screen.
